Welcome To January’s Monthly Wrap Up
What a start to a New Year. We’re already planning our Spring Break and Summer Vacations. The first of the year is the time to get appointments scheduled and out of the way. We’ve got yearly doctor appointments, my first mammogram (yep I’m over 40, so I got to experience a first) & dentist appointments. The big news of the month is my husband fractured his foot. We’ve had x-rays and regular appointments to check on it weekly. He’s in a boot for 2 months. I guess the best news is no surgery, but now he’s working from home and I don’t get the house to myself for a few hours like I usually do. The kid is doing great. He started tennis back up one day a week after school. I’m so glad he has found a sport he enjoys.
I’m doing ok on the reading and sticking to my library or books I already own or received for free. You can check out my Goodreads Challenge page to see what I’ve read for 2025 and my 2025 Jan. Reading Challenge Updates post. I’ve been doing well on limiting my online time. I’m doing good with sticking to the 20-minute exercise I started at the New Year. I also started playing Path of Exile 2. I’m enjoying the game. I’m focusing my character as a Bombarding Minions Internalist. I like everything going boom!

I’m a bit late to this post, but I hope your husband recovers soon. Have a wonderful week!
Thank you Role! Have a great weekend.
That Would You Rather is fun! Is there somewhere I can get a clean copy of that to fill it out myself and share it?
Sorry about your husband’s foot. I remember in March of 2020 I missed one of the 5 steps on my back desk to take the dogs out and bent back and broke or really badly hurt one of my feet/ankles. I was supposed to wear a boot, but once COVID hit and I was stuck at home, I didn’t mess with it, lol. Hopefully your husband will be better than I was!

I saw the Would you Rather on BlueSky going around and so I just made my own on Canva.
We just found out he can remove the boot and do light walk on it. We expected another two to four weeks in the boot. The doc says it’s healing nicely which is good news. It’s not been fun, but we’ve managed.
Thanks for visiting.
These sound like some good reading
Thanks for visiting!
SOrry to hear about your husband’s foot, but glad he doesn’t need surgery. Sounds like a pretty good month. January seems like it lasted a whole year, but now I can’t remember when I did!
Ya, January felt like a whole year. I’m glad too my hubby didn’t have to have surgery. Thanks for visiting!
Sorry to hear he fractured his foot. Hopefully it heals with no problems.
It’s healing and we’re glad no surgery. Thanks for visiting.
Your reading seems to be going well for this year. Surprising with the change of having your husband at home which must upset the normal patterns a bit. I had a moody January so it’s good I got ahead in December.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Reading is slowing, but steady. It’s been good. I miss having the house to myself. I can only clean on the weekend now since he’s home working during the week. I miss having the weekend to do nothing. Well have a great February and thanks for visiting.
